The moon looks larger on the horizon than when it’s overhead because of an optical effect called the Ponzo Illusion: The human brain perceives the sky as a dome, so we subconsciously think the moon is farther away—and thus larger—when it’s on the horizon than when it’s above us.
i hate my school. my dad thinks i have good grades right now, but i have a d and an f, which is a first for me. i try really hard at school and its really frustrating to find that you are still failing 2 classes. i hate it. wouldnt it be great if the grading system worked out so that the margin for an f wouldn’t be like 60% and the a range is only like 7%? what if they made it even, and having a c was considered to be bad? whatever, i guess its just wishful thinking.
i hate swimming. i feel like i try a lot harder than every one else who is in my group, but when the time comes around for a test set, nope, i suck it up and go 15 seconds slower than im used to. like i said, working hard and still failing is extremely frustrating. Mara, im not mad at all that you beat me, im just disappointed in myself for going such a bad time. im really proud of how fast you have become.
i hate some of the things my friends assume about me. lucy, you dont need my permission to go out with my brother. i completely 100% approve, even though you dont need my approval. he told me thats what the both of you were scared about, was me being mad or something. of course im not mad. you two are great with each other and i only wish happiness onto you guys. i also dont like that people take me so seriously all the time. sure, i dont want to be a jackass who always goes for laughs, but i also dont want to be dead serious all the time. hone into my humor, bitch!
i hate that some of my closest friends wont tell me things. yep. have to learn from others. its like you guys dont trust me. either that or you dont think i care. prior to others beliefs, i am not shallow. i am a deep person and i care about each and every one of my friends. no matter which social group you think you belong to. im not good at mushy things, but if you need a shoulder to cry on, my shoulder is open for business
